Family Engagement is designed to help support our most isolated families. The focus of Family Engagement is school readiness and parent support, empowering parents to be their child’s first teacher and strengthening the family unit.  Program components include Literacy events, Raising A Reader, Ollie Diaper Depot, Drop & Go Playgroups, Parent/Child Playgroup, Countdown to Kindergarten, the Parenting Education and Support Program, Parent Café series, Welcome Baby visits and infant massage classes, and other community wide events and activities.

Program Goals

School Readiness (for both children and parents) empowering parents to be their child’s first teacher

Parenting Support (in accordance with the State’s recognized evidence based Strengthening Families Programming).

Price

All Programs are FREE and we typically provide refreshments, child care and transportation as necessary.

Family Engagement partners with The City of Boston’s Coordinated Family and Community Engagement, The Boston and Family Engagement Network, South Boston En Accion, Boston Harbor Now and Save the Harbor/Have the Bay.

Our Family Engagement Programs are funded by the Cummings Foundation, Dean Foundation for Little Children, P&G Gillette Comforts of Home, Liberty Mutual Foundation, Ratshesky Foundation, Save the Harbor/Save the Bay and Loomis, Sayles & Company.

Ollie Diaper Depot: Free Diapers & Wipes

Open Each Month:
2nd Wednesday (10:00AM- 1:00PM)
4th Wednesday (3:00PM-6:00PM)

*One Visit per month

You must register every month to guarantee a spot for free diapers and wipes. Forms will be open the last week of each month to register for the following month.
